CROCHET PATTERN

The Granny Hexagon Cardigan

Hi guys! I know I’ve been away for a while and haven’t shared many patterns with you, but I promise I’ll be back soon with everything. I’ve already sorted out some cool patterns that I’m sure you’ll like! And even though I’ve been away, I’ve received a lot of messages of concern and thanks, but it’s all right, sometimes the routine consumes us and we can’t handle much, but now I’m a little more relieved of the housework and I can talk and share incredible patterns with you!

I’m here today to share with you the Granny Hexagon Cardigan, a fantastic cardigan design! It’s a fantastic way to use up some yarn remnants. Making it is a lot of fun, and there are countless color options! Two hexagons were used to create this cardigan. Because it is custom-made, you may use any yarn and any needle. Although you may use any yarn, I determined the length of the yarn on the dk weight. I can’t wait to see how everyone interprets Granny Hexi! Due to the way the cardigan is made, the larger sizes will, as a result, have considerably broader sleeves and be a little bit longer.

A granny hex cardigan looks like a hand-knitted garment with a hexagonal pattern. Generally, this type of garment is made using a knitting technique that creates interlocking hexagons to form an overall pattern on the garment. This pattern may be more common in blankets or shawls, but it can also be adapted for a cardigan.

To make a hexagonal granny cardigan, you would need advanced knitting or crochet skills, as creating interlocking hexagons can be a challenge. Here are the general steps for creating a hexagonal cardigan:

Choose a pattern: Look for a knitting or crochet pattern that is specifically designed to create interlocking hexagons. You can find these patterns in knitting books, craft magazines or online.

Choose the appropriate yarn and needles: Choose a yarn and needle size that are suitable for the pattern you have chosen. Generally, you will need to follow the recommendations for needle size and yarn type given in the pattern.

Make the hexagons: Follow the instructions in the pattern to create the hexagons. This usually involves knitting or crocheting a series of stitches in a specific sequence to create the hexagon.

Join the hexagons: After making several hexagons, you will need to join them together to create the shape of the cardigan. This can be done by sewing or joining the hexagons together as indicated in the pattern.

Make the final adjustments: Make sure that all the seams are well done and that the cardigan is the desired size. Make any necessary adjustments.

Finish with buttons or fasteners, if desired: If the pattern calls for it, you can add buttons or other fasteners to the cardigan to keep it closed.
